You’ve been thinking about your new home (or cottage or addition) for awhile and now it’s time to move forward with plans and drawings. You can choose to work with a private architectural designer or with a Building contractor.  Which way to go?

Using a Designer;

will provide you with a lot of control over your plans,
will give you greater flexibility to choose a Builder (if you don’t have one pre-selected).

In working with a Designer;

•  your dreams, visions and ideas are incorporated into the design (you’re not beholden to a Builders biased opinions or building practices)
• You can rest assured knowing that the end product has been designed and fine-tuned to reflect your wants and needs and family’s lifestyle
• You have an opportunity to approach a number of Building contractors for pricing which then will allow you to select a builder based not only on price but also on your relationship and how well you hit it off.
• He can also work with your chosen Builder to fine-tune the plans as needed
