Southampton Arts is a nonprofit community organization that supports artists around  Saugeen Shores at every stage in their career, from child to senior, novice to professional artist. We do this through: exceptional art instruction; engaging community programs; and professional practice assistance including self-marketing education, opportunities for social connection, and a professional exhibition space.

With 65 years of legacy, the art centre was founded by local artist Bert Henderson with three members of the Group of Seven on the original Board of Directors. Since that time, the art school has delivered a roster of year-round course programming in a variety of mediums and skill levels to delight and inspire! Sign up for a class today, and discover the excitement of creativity!

Adults - sign up to learn new skills, or explore new areas of your imagination with one of our many workshops and courses, taught by professional artists. We offer everything from traditional watercolour and acrylics, to fibre arts, encaustic, photography, woodworking, and more!

Kids - be sure to "dress for a mess" and let your imagination run wild! With the huge variety of single day workshops all the way to 5-day classes, you're sure to find something that sparks both your interest and fits your schedule.

Plus, don't miss the Southampton Art Gallery and Shop, located off beautiful High Street in downtown Southampton. With a wide range of one-of-a-kind fine art and craft, plus regular exhibitions by local artists, you're sure to find that perfect gift for your loved ones... or yourself!

At Southampton Arts, we see creative expression as a powerful tool for individual and collective wellness, and our vision is that every member of the community should have access to this healing power of art!
